Limiting my 100 Strangers project to Mississaugans makes it a little more challenging to find people. It is getting dark earlier, temperatures are falling and these last days we are having a lots of rain. I asked the Square One Management for permission to approach people within the mall. Unfortunately they declined my request which makes sense to me. I simply should have started earlier in the summer. Too late…
However, I want to continue shooting strangers. I guess it is converting into a hobby of collecting interesting faces. I took this gentleman´s picture in the small town of St. Jacobs. I approached him with one of my Moo Mini business cards and asked him if I could take his picture because I like his hat. He turned around to his wife and asked her: „Can this guy take a picture of me?“. Instead of replying she just nodded her head. He nodded towards me and I took 3 photos. When I finished I showed him one of the pictures on my camera display, he smiled and said: „I look like a fierce man.“ His comment made me smile. I wanted to ask him for his name and offer him to send a copy of the picture but the couple was already moving on.
