For some month now I was waiting to see a thunderstorm from our new apartment in Mississauga. We live in a corner unit on the 12th floor and no tall buildings are blocking our view. Not only can we see Lake Ontario but as well Downtown Toronto with the CN Tower being the main landmark and an awesome lightning rod. This was promising a great show. During the day heavy thunderstorm and a even a tornado watch had been announced so that when I came home I directly prepared my camera. The easiest method to catch a lightning is to put the camera on a tripod, use very slower shutter speed (preferably 30 seconds), take as many pictures as possible and hope that a lightning strikes during these 30 seconds. But please do it from the safety of your home and don’t go outside. You don’t want a picture of a lightning hitting your camera.
